Opening up this new section with two of my favorite images that I found this summer!

I encountered this picture during the ASEAN festival this summer in Hoi An, Vietnam.  There was a photography showcase of images of Hoi An and its people.  This is one of the many that stood out for me.

Unfortunately, I did not catch the owner of this image. If you have any information about its origin, please let me know so I can acknowledge it!

Hoi An is known to get very very wet during the monsoon season.  In fact, it is normal for half of the town’s historic section to be underwater.  People get around in canoes.   Who says you can’t go to Venice while in Asia?  I plan on heading back to see this for myself one day!  With that said, imagine how amazing the infrastructure has to be to withstand that type of damage/ moisture exposure every year!

Plus, it will be Green and Gold.  Just like home.
